Well shot Kala. Brings back memories of all the school visits I went on to Stonehenge. Much too young to appreciate the significance then.
kalaryder replied
Yes, I remember school trips when we were allowed to walk around and touch the stones – ummm those were the days LOL

Tremendous photo of a place I have driven past on many occasions en route to the West Country. Fascinating to read all the theories isn’t it?
kalaryder replied
Yes – did you see the TV programme just recently also

A great scan of this old image of Stonehenge Kala, good to see it without the crowds of people that normally spoil the composition these days,
Regards, Rod.
kalaryder replied
Thanks Rod, we were really lucky that day, and even about 6 years ago, when I visited we were able to get shots without people, thanks to the listening devices I believe, where people would stand and look and listen to the commentaring. This photo was taken before that aid.
Marvin Collins
Excellent!!

Thank you kindly Marvin

Good contrast, well balanced colors and good tones. This picture reminds me when we were in Ireland last 2004. The formation of the white clouds are great!
kalaryder replied
Thank you Grace. Do you have photos of Ireland?

Enticing. I’ve not visited – yet – and this good shot whets my appetite for travel, perhaps next year. Is this as near as humans can get these days?
kalaryder replied
Roughly yes, but there are paths surrounding the circle and information stands to listen to commentary and a good zoom really gets in close to the stone – even my small zoom managed detail. The last time I was there was about 6 years ago and I don’t know what may have changed in that time.
