Grevillea phanerophlebia

Grevillea phanerophlebia or Prominent Vein Grevillea has been declared Rare.

Found in its natural state north of Geraldton in Western Australia, this shrub can grow to 1.5m high. The flowers are very small and white and flower around August to September. The fruit is oblong around 8-9mm long. The leaves are deep cut and spread like a hand and prickly tipped ends

The plant prefers to grow amongst tallish trees in gravelly soil or sandy soil of heathlands.

    I can only ever recall seeing this beauty before when we were walking through the large wildflower gardens in Kalbarri a couple of years ago. I certainly can’t remember seeing it in Kings Park but will make a point of looking out for it next time we go down there. I like the way to have photographed it to show it off perfectly.
