Lovely capture, Kala! I like the sun rays and the ripples on the water.
kalaryder replied
Hi Rachel, it was a great day, but its a pity I didn’t get a straight horizon LOL

Not many places in WA where you can get the sun rising over the ocean and you have certainly made the most of a limited opportunity! Great work Kala and it all looks so “alive” Peter
kalaryder replied
Thank you Peter.
We have another rain shower at the moment – should now reach just below the surface of the ground :)
Rachel Stickney
But you can straighten the horizon pretty easily though, right? I don’t know how to do Photoshop yet, but I know how to fix horizons in some other software. I like how RB lets you reupload without having to lose your comments or page. Over at Webshots, you can’t do that, so I have quite a few photos with crooked horizons.
kalaryder replied
Yes, will have to go into photoshop
They do? How? – RB that is :)
georgieboy98
Yay! Just had a short shower here! Stopped already though!
kalaryder replied
Just wait awhile another should be on its up up

Kala in Photoshop go down side menu to the Eyedropper tool. Right click on it and you will see Ruler. Click that and you’ll get a little icon which you can then draw along the horizon in your photo. Then hit IMAGE>Rotate Canvas>Arbitary and it will tell you exactly how many degrees out of level it is and make an automatic correction for you. Just use the CROP tool to clean it up. Peter
kalaryder replied
Thanks Peter, will do.
