makes a lovely abstract, l like how some have pretty gold stipes through them and the water is so clear !

  • kalaryder replied

Thanks Trudi, the water was clear, but these were just above the water at the time, although still wet

Like it, The shape in the dip is rather intersting, I have a similar image I am thinking of posting, might just have to take another look.

Very well spotted and taken. Next time you are down in Albany try and get a boat out in Oyster Harbour at Emu Point. Across the far side is a floating mussel factory and it is quite fascinating to watch them pulling the mussels up by the thousand! Peter

  • kalaryder replied

That would be interesting, bigger ready to eat yum :)
I guess you have done this already then Peter?

A couple of years ago we did the river cruise from Emu Point on the Kalgan Queen. The skipper came right up almost alongside the mussel factory. As a matter of interest he also whistled loudly and a couple of sea eagles came flying out to see us and a little later on he had a couple of pelicans swimming in circles for us! An amazing fellow and a great cruise, made even more enjoyable by the halfway stop at a winery!! Peter

Wonderful textures, colour tones and detail Kala, it has a strong abstract quality to the image, obviously the sea must be clean to support healthy mussels like this,
    Regards, Rod.

  • kalaryder replied

The waters all around the coast here are clean as a whistle. Thank you for your great comment – always appreciated.
