Fremantle Doctor Sculpture
The Fremantle Doctor is a refreshing wind which blows in off the off the ocean most days in Fremantle. There is a
sculpture made from an old sea buoy and is interesting in its various components. At the very top are wires strung tight which resonate with the Doctor and at the far end are two blue panels, whon here, which, if you put your head between them, the Doctor’s music can be heard in stereo. Also on the sculpture are seagulls, but these are permanent and not frightening of by the music.
When this photo was taken, the wires were resonating slightly, the Doctor only just rising.

I have never seen this before! Has it been there long? It’s certainly a great idea and a wonderful attraction. Well photographed and described. Peter

I don’t know how long it was there. It is on the harbour side where Kailis boats and restaurant are, so not seen as often or as easily as the main dock area

Hmmm I’m with Peter, never seen it, worked in Freo for 2 years too. When did you take this pic? Im wondering if it is a recent addition. I cant be that blind…

This year, walk around the back of Kailis offices – I parked in the carpark opposite the offices and strolled off towards the water – there it was, but don’t know how long it has been there.
