Blackwood River Nanup
The Blackwood reduced to a stream passes beneath a bridge at Nannup in the south west of Western Australia.
Nannup is a lovely little mill town in beautiful countryside and farmland, and found via the Vasse Highway halfway between Busselton and Pemberton, Busselton being approx. 3 hrs south of Perth.

Great photo Kala. I can remember one January not all that long ago when the south west was inundated and the water level was over the top of this bridge! If you go into the caravan park at Bridgetown and wander down to the river’s edge you’ll see some level markers on the trees. And I think from memory there are markers on a couple of trees here, too. Thanks Peter, it seems a shame that the rives is so low, but I think the height of the banks and the bridge itself reflects how it should be in full flow.
