Grevillea asteriscosa or Star Leaf Grevillea is listed as a Priority 4 (Rare) on the calm website.
This Grevillea is a West Australian native plant found NE of Esperance, among trees in gravelly soil and heathlands. It flowers May to November, the fruit is oblong and hairy. The flowers are red/scarlet and simple and the leaves are flat star-shaped.

Thank you, there is a wide variety in the Grevilleas in their natural form and the cultivated ones are large and showy and equally interesting in shapes. If you pop into the Grevillea group, browse through the variety of pictures there, it will give you some indication of these strange flowers.
