Quokka

These little Australian animals are usually found on Rottnest, however, we found these in the Quindalup Fauna Park near Dunbsoough in SW Western Australia. Rottnest was supposedly named by the early sailors to that island as rats nest, because they found these lovely sleepy creatures with their long rat-like tails all over the island.
