Canal Rocks
Beautiful and exciting Canal Rocks are part of the Leeuwin-Naturalist National Park in south western Western Australia.
The natural attraction is best reached and viewed from a small bridge, which is only wide enough for one person to walk along, which crosses one of the smaller canals. The sign on the bridge suggests that it is not wise to cross when the bridge is wet.
The water surging through two rock banks from the open sea is very strong and rushes through the calmer beach on the other side of the bridge. Water colour is quite amazing as it changes from turquoise to green and dark blue and sometimes all three colours are visible.
To reach Canal Rocks drive south from Perth for about 3 hours, driving past Dunsborough and turning left towards Smiths Beach when the road points to Yallingup, which in itself it well known for its surfing.

Looks good enough to dive in. Whoops just remembered the Great Whites. LOL
kalaryder replied
No diving there, far too strong a current for anything!

Wonderful shot (over-all a very nice portfolio) . You can’t go wrong with the color blue, in the sky, in the water, on the buildings. Keep up the great work.

really great capture of the waves in the air and the contrast of colour between the seaspray and the deep blue of the sky and water is beautiful as well
