Solanum mammosum otherwise known a nipple fruit or cows udder plant. A tropical plant native to Central America this is a perennial herb with has smallish white flowers and very different fruit. Not edible

    Hey, we used to grow these – my sister in law is a florist so my husband had a patch planted on our farm for 6 months or so, they’re incredibly spiky so he didn’t grow them for very long! They look great in modern style arrangements. Great shot, beautiful colour!

    I first saw these flowers in a floral exhibition about a year ago and then about a month ago in NZ, found them again. Only times I have seen them.
