As I lay in your arms
I can’t help but wonder
If words hurled at me
Are anywhere near true
In the past I was told
I would be worth nothing
Nothing but sex for men
An easy target
That no man could ever
Truly love me for me
But you seem to
I clutch to that feeling
The look in your eyes
And I want so badly
To simply let myself believe
That they were all wrong
That I am worth it
That you chose me to be
Your one and only
And not just a fling
I need to believe because

Very nice poetry, very emotive. Self worth can be a difficult thing to hang on to sometimes in life and it certainly helps to have someone who loves you!
