wow, guess you must be flying to get these shots?

  • Kaimaha replied

Thanks for the comments guys. I fly all over western australia with my work and sometimes get to go out to the odd island or two. This was on the way to Koolan Island, a 45 minute trip in a Cessna from Derby. The colours seem a little on the flat side to me so I might try giving them a bit of a boost in photoshop :) Cheers

no, the colours are great, love the washed out colour of the retreating water on the sand. Hard life you have for a job flying over such views ;)

that’s easy then . . .if you like the colours Richard, I’ll leave them. sometimes it’s hard to make decisions when you are looking too long and closely at your own work, it’s nice to get someone (who’s so talented!) else’s opinion from time to time. Yep, there’s no rest for the wicked, flying here there and everywhere. My day job is totally non-glamorous but worth every cent when I can get a few shots like these!

This one took my breath away with its beautiful natural patterning and amazing landscape. I think this is very well seen by you and makes for a fantastic photo.

  • Kaimaha replied

thank you Stephen . . for your kind comment and the favorite. Didn’t do too much with this – the less the better in my opinion – only a slight colour change, crop and sharpen at the end.

it’s incredible what you can see from sky!!! It’s wonderful! and how lucky you are to have so often this previlege of admiring mother nature in his most best..:)))

  • Kaimaha replied

yes, there are truly some wonderful sights from the air. I did get very lucky that day as I’ve done the same trip several times and the landscape was totally different and not inspiring to photograph at all. Thanks for your comment, dominique :)
