Thank you Rinkydink! – roads are a bit scarce in Wales (it’s a good excuse to fly!)

I absolutely love aerial shots….they’re so full of abstract shapes…you should see some of the amazing images that have been taken here in Australia….the ground is so red in places and the rivers and outback tracks running through break the image into fascinating shapes :-) Very inspirational.

Thank you Chris – I have always been fascinated by aerials, satellite images and maps – you can probably tell from my paintings!

Yep….sure can. I have a son who is a cartographer….did his training in the Australian army, and still works in the area. He retired from the army a couple of years ago….he’s enjoyed a very interesting life…travelled all over the world…including the Arctic Circle taking aerial shots. I have a girl friend who is a pilot and I’ve been up with her a couple of times…but sadly didn’t have my camera with me at the time. Silly of me :-)

wonderful image kafka. i couldnt see the sheep till I viewed larger, but they are beautifully scattered. I just cant get enough of aerial shots, they turn into such perfect abstracts.

kafka, This is really nice. This reminds me of a visit to the U.K. some years ago from Spain and crossing the southern part in the plane, I loved the green and the pure white sheep. Here in Australia they get a bit grubby looking except for down in Tasmania which reminds me of a smaller part of England.
