Tilted sun

you came upon
my landscape
of bare silk and skin
within the dawn of that
motel monday morning

i blink away
what you left behind
imprinted in the dark
neon glow
of my closed eyelids

slant your horizon
across my spine
I wait for you once more
through an open tilt
in those dusty blinds

Tilted sun

Artist's Description

I used to stare into light bulbs when I was a child and then shut my eyes to study the light which was left behind like a neon glow on the inside of my eye lids. I would then marvel at how how the neon glow moved when I shifted my eyes.
