Watching the water, you see all these dips, holes, and layers.
Communal in the best way, because I can sit and think how this scene is unique unto itself, that each drop of water is exactly in its place and nowhere else.
And I also think how all of this shot is not unique, how everything in this shot was once something else, and will be something else again.
One of these drops may fall on your garden as rain someday, and become part of your lettuce, which becomes part of you.
So, you can consider this a self-portrait if you’d like.
