Sunday Morning at the Beach by

Mother and Child

From the far reaches of our Sun
shines the mother of our stars
so bright the light night has no place to hide
so refreshing the sight of mother and child

sitting across from one the other
so silent in the still morning
barely needs to look upon the love
that keeps together

their unflinching faith upon the Universe rests
so warm in their hearts are the shapes of love
that everyday things can provide upon a dreary day
that transforms the clouds into a fantasy of stars

doesnt matter if you live on mars
twinkle so softy in the childs eyes
seem to say I love you, and
gleams sunlights canopy to part the sky

so shines the love of mother her child
living the moment that was always meant
for as life and living can only provide
all the secrets that hide inside

Like mother and child as they reside
come forth to fill the day with pride
knowing that shes beside
you now can see how shes become

Like Mother and Child you reside
Children of the stars so living with Pride.

This is a poem written for a very special mother and her two very special daughters and how she has devoted her life against long enduring hardships to raise her children into the young caring adults that they have become.

Thank You Mary, This is not my usual type of seascape. I usually portray the ocean and not the people. Nostalgia for the "good ’ol days, prompted me, when I was young and innocent, and the beach was a place where children go with there parents to have fun and explore. Thanks again.
