Chicago Series: Pinkerton Detective Agency
Allan Pinkerton was the first detective in Chicago. Along with local attorney Edward Rucker he founded the North-Western Police Agency, which soon became known across the country as the Pinkerton Detective Agency. To the outlaws brought to justice at their hands, the Agency was also know simply as The Pinkertons.
