Flamboyance killed the video star by

This art piece requires some explanation:
One of the Twin Towers in the blue sky is already burning and the smoke rises and forms the beard of Osama bin Laden. He got worldwide attention because of this evil act. Osama is portrayed with a green background. Green is the color of the islam. Although many people of the islam don’t agree with the ideology of Osama bin Laden, he considered himself an islam warrior in a/ his jihad. Green also symbolizes paradise, which seems to be the ultimate goal of moslims and terrorists who claim to be moslims. The tulband is white because in the islam white symbolizes evil. It is in no way a way to honor Osama bin Laden, but to question the way we handle these kind of terror acts. Osama bin Laden became a video star creating fear all around the world. I want people to look at what happened and think about the way we handle it. Because Osama bin Laden may be dead, but terrorism will exist for decades to come.

Flamboyance [ free online dictionary, shown which apply in this case ]
adj. 4. Given to ostentatious or audacious display. See Synonyms at showy.
n. [French, from Old French, present participle of flamboyer, to blaze, from flambe, flame; see flame.]

After his denial, Osama bin Laden finally claimed responsibility for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States in 2004 which killed nearly 3,000 people!

On October 29, 2004, at 21:00 UTC, the Arab television network, Al Jazeera, broadcast excerpts from a videotape of Osama bin Laden addressing the people of the United States, in which he accepts responsibility for the September 11, 2001 attacks, condemns the Bush government’s response to those attacks and presents those attacks as part of a campaign of revenge and deterrence motivated by his witnessing of the destruction in the Lebanese Civil War in 1982. Since then Osama bin Laden released videotapes on a regular basis.

Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, shortly after 1 a.m. local time by a United States special forces military unit. Bin Laden was killed in an expensive compound located less than a mile from Pakistan’s version of West Point [source: wikipedia]. Hence the title ‘Flamboyance killed the video star’.

have rewarded your talent, the beauty of your image is in your skill! It is as if one paint a devil (beautiful) and I don’t say that it is beautiful because I believe in God: it’s the same thing, bravo congratulations!!
  • If you believe in God, you must also believe in the devil. Ying and yang. But if this means someone killing other people it is awful. But it has happened and I think art should also depict real life with all its ugliness. Thanks again Guendalyn for your nice words! XXX – Joseph Walrave
