Gus keeps watch over his wee buddy, Gidget, as she fearlessly ventures into the big wide world…. Both dogs are crossbreeds and came from a local shelter. Kyneton, Vic., Australia.
It is recommended that this be viewed larger…and a good magnifying glass may be useful. :)
Wow Meg what a wonderful capture Gus is doing a great job lol lee
Thanks heaps Lee…Gus is a good boy, except when he forgets Gidget is not a German Shepherd when they are playing full on.!!..but she gives him a severe telling off for being too rough, chuckle…!!
Aww! I wish I were there already, this makes me ever so keen to see them again. Beautifully shot Mum, love the little daisies and Gussie’s wonderful watchfulness as Gidget springs about joyfully.
They had a great time G…Today Gus had his first swim of the season in my nice full little dam…Gidget couldn’t work out why on earth he would want to do that, but did deign to get her feet wet. :))
well, what a responsible fellow Gus is, and the little one is looking for mischief! A charming image Meg … and I’m sure they are very lucky to be living at your place (probably a bit like our place where dogs are seriously pampered!)
Oh yeah…pampered to the max H. :)..so happy this appeals….and isn’t it about time we got an update on Hopi and (if my memory serves me correctly) his buddy..?!
Must be a hundred captions for this fine image of dog & dog. Dog agog? Anyway, from the sublime to the ridiculous, this pic could accommodate all comers. ’Don’t worry, fuzzy friend; I’m keeping an eye on you….’ Or, ‘Where the hell did you come from?’ But we know that Gus is a good friend & true, & the Vigil notion works very well. Great photo, Meg… the May-December theme writ in canine terms.
Gus is a mere lad himself (19 months) Sheila and does more playing than supervising…this was just a ‘moment’. :)…Glad you like it. :)
