Blossom Possum by Meg Hart

I have known Blossom since she was a baby on her mother’s back…Now she has her fourth baby in the pouch, part of which is clearly visible. A nocturnal animal, she is waiting for me to hand her a “breakfast” snack of banana, her favourite.

She is so cute! Great night capture Meg!

  • She’s a sweetie Berns….and thanks..(I’m not very good at night photography, trying to decide whether to use the flash or just torchlight and grappling with camera, torch and snack, so it was nice of her to sit there for me. :)))

Hi Blossom! How fun. Cute picture. I’ve never seen one before. Very cool that you know her.

  • She’s the last of my friendly possums Betsy..the others mysteriously disappeared years ago…Blossom lets me stroke her and her babies in return for a tasty piece of fruit. :)

She is looking pretty relaxed Meg, good that you have such a close interaction with her.

  • Yes, I love to stroke her when giving her a treat and she will let me stroke her baby when it comes out…thanks for looking Trevor. :)
