My weeks holiday to Fuerteventura is over. Had a lovely time, thankyou everyone for your nice wishes. A beautiful island, what I call a very easy holiday.
Very, very hot with some dramatic landscapes, varying from volcanic mountains to amazing sand dunes. (it is very windy island)
There were chipmunks all over the place, camels on the beach and lots of goats grazing on the rough terrain. I also saw a hoopoe bird which was very exciting.
looking forward to getting back into RB and seeing what I have been missing.

I’m glad you had a good time. It’s a beautiful island, or it was the last time I was there 13 years ago.
We saw a Hoopoe in Palma the other week. They are stunning birds.

Linda, I had to google it to know where you went! :) Had never heard of it before, but it sounds awesome. I checked out wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuerteventura and found out all sorts of cool things. Glad you had a great time. Welcome back.
