Rush Hour II by Justin Minns

Rush Hour II by

Like the Fiakas (horse & carriages), these red trams are a feature of Vienna’s streets and popular with tourists. I wanted a photo of a tram passing a famous landmark and, after spending some time with my tripod squeezed in the gap between the cycle path and road, I finally got this shot on the Ringstrasse in front of the natural history museum.

Morning rush hour was just beginning so it took several shots to catch a tram with just the right amount of motion blur but without any cars spoiling the shot… sometimes it takes a bit of persistence to get the shot you have in your head!
