Steeples

Dull cold, cars splashing and rushing through puddles
Wind cold, flags slapping against their poles like screams
Reflection’s cold, as i walk past shop windows and dreams
Buildings cold, their steeples loom like crows in the trees in the snow

And i wonder, can you feel my heartbeat
