Who am i?
Well, lets start at the start. I always “doodled” from a very young age, when i could comprehend what designing was, let alone graphic design, i focused all my energy and “talent” and decided to do a course in Graphic Design, whilst still at secondary school, bear in mind that i had no formal art training, just my genes. My dad was an art teacher for 20plus years, done some sculpting, painting and mom dabbled in watercolours, and that was my foundation. After finishing school i decided to venture into colleges and technikons and ended up at Cape Tech. Without the formal art training in my pocket i was offered an access course, this covers all the facets of designing, i mean all: fashion, industrial, etc…......was too much for me. Done a DTP course at the same private college where i done my part-time graphic design course, and once done there got a break in the industry, by starting as a runner in a repro/ printing company and worked my way up; runner; designer, retouching, special-effects retouching, lay-out design, book design, page make-up (positives and lightboxes) to where i am now at one of SA’s big media companies, Media 24, where i slave away day in and out, with the hope that one day, one day soon I will start my own thing.
