About This Painting
This group of treeferns on the steep banks above the headwaters of the Ruamahanga River caught my eye on a tramping trip in the southern Tararuas one weekend. I grabbed a hasty photo, and this painting was the result.
Looking at the photo now is a very interesting exercise. This may look like a true-to-life realistic painting, but as always, it actually isn’t.
Acrylic on board 7 × 8.5 in.
