Thanks to De Gillett for sharing her wonderful technique of using Art Spectrum Inks on canvas at a recent Launceston Art Society workshop. This is my first work on my own with plenty of notes from De to help me.
This looks like great fun Julie. I haven’t used inks since leaving them all behind in South Africa, but seeing this reminds me of the incredible translucent colours one can achieve. I think this is lovely :-)
HI Constance – thanks so much – really enjoy using the inks and have plans to explore some more concepts.
Great love the vibrant colour and so nice of you to mention the source of your inspiration not every one thinks to do that I am sure De Gillett will be proud of your work Happy Painting Bev
Lovely lovely lovely! You have learned well, grasshopper :) I especially like the way you allowed some of the leaves to be blue- it reads as gorgeous shadow tones :)
Thanks De – the only pre-mixed colour is the sky blue – the greens just made themselves !
