I once had a vintage childrens’ illustrated Bible with lots of interesting images. I changed this one from “Jesus says be good, do good,” to “Destroy, be good, do good.” This is from back in the 90’s. I made tones of stickers of this image and it still resounds with me today.
This is a general statement on what it means to me.
“The world as it is is broken. To make it work again, we have to destroy the things that threaten to destroy us that seem good but aren’t from the heart. We have to change the paradigm so that the concept of “doing good” and “being good” aren’t behaviors set by the rules of the polite and religious; used to control our behavior, but a way to be to make a better world."
See other versions of this image that work better on different colors!
I am using this image also in regards to my new musical project “Fugitive Dust.”
This does NOT work on stickers.
