Number 2 in the series ’Tiered"- around the idea of the tiered lanscape – in this painting, the small village makes an appearance in the surrounding landscape…

landscape, acrylic painting, village, tiers

I am inspired by organic forms in nature as well as the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements so I tend towards work which is rustic and linear and colours which can also be decorative and often symbolic.

I love to paint and draw and to see other people’s art and am looking forward to making some connections with others – which is really what it is all about, for me.

  • Thanks again Catherine…it’s been lovely to do something instead of think about it…it’s getting the time (also trying not to be lazy)

  • Thanks John…it sounds like maybe we are both going through our own difficult times at the moment so it’s so nice to see a familiar icon like yours pop up and read your kind comment – it’s reassuring and I am thankful for it!! Take care
