vintage (smile) … I actually have a small pair if shears that is similar to these … they were used by a friend who used to weave … for cutting the cords/yarn… he gave them to me as a present a long time ago … he used them in the early 70’s and they were old then too … (smile) …. of course any implement such as the shears you’re showing here can also be sinister in the wrong hands (grin lol ….) …. nice shot and a memory for me … thanks for sharing (big smile)

  • Ahhh so glad they brought back memories , i have some shots from that day of yarn & weaving machinery , fascinating how it used to be done:-)
    Many thanks for sharing:-)

Lovely treatment Jules. My brother in law is a crofter on the Isle of Lewis and he still uses shears like these on his sheep. He says they are far better than the modern electric shears!

  • These made me think of a Specsavers advert , where the crofter shears the sheepdog too , Should have gone to Specsavers LOL Thanks Colin:-)
