Many people think that fashion design is just simply designing beautiful clothing. Fashion design is so much more than that. In order to create a beautiful dress you have to put a piece of your heart into it. You have to breathe, live and think fashion at all times. It is not only a beautiful and fulfilling career, but also a hard rocky road that not many people could walk though. Fashion is the bird singing outside your window, it is the person you bump into in the subway, and it is the sunset by the ocean. Fashion is. Fashion designers bring joy to peoples lives. How many times did you put on your favorite dress and your mood changed immediately? Fashion designers are magicians. They take inspirations from everything that is around them and make connections no one ever thought of making before. The thought of fashion being so complex and intriguing made me want to become a fashion designer. I am closer than ever before.
Every single time I think of the sleepless nights that I committed to perfecting my design skills, I get butterflies in my stomach. Similar to ones you get when you kiss someone for the fist time. Falling asleep with fashion on my mind makes me want to wake up every morning full of joy. Fashion design is ever changing and is a promise of next day being better than it was before.
The future seems to be so far away, yet so close. I have been told by a wise man that I should never say: ”I would like to”, but rather I should say: “I will” and that this simple change will keep me going. In the future, five years from now, I will have a position at a fashion design company and I will give them my best performance because I will be doing something I love. In the next ten years I will start my own company with the wonderful skills that I will gain from my fashion experience. I will be successful because I will work very hard for it.
Today, I am trilled to say that I am closer than ever before. I am attending the school that I was dreaming about for so long. Never in my life had I achieved so much in such a short period of time.
I feel accomplished, but I want more. I will never get enough of this. I am a well that needs to be filled up.

I am majoring in fashion design, but I was always very passionate about photography and interior design.
