Umm...what do I do with it?

The little Orphan I rescued earlier today.Okay,I felt sorry for the little guy so I went and dug up a worm. He didn’t know what to do with it! And I refused to chew it up and feed it to him!

    It started pouring down rain about 15 minutes ago so my daughter ran out,scooped him up in a bucket and now he is laying in a cloth on the front porch!! SHE can have the 2 a.m. feeding!!!

    Thanks so much,Paul. I did chop one up,with a FORK!!!, but still couldn’t get the little guy to open his mouth wide enough to get much down. :(

    This is really cute. I see it doesn’t know what to do with a worm yet. Poor little thing. I rescued a couple…and I wet little pieces of bread with water and that went down pretty good. Then I swatted a couple of flys and gave them those. that worked too. lol It usually is only a few days till they can fly. Hope he makes it. Very pretty little bird!

    Oops…I just read where you couldn’t find him the 2nd day. Well if you find any more. LOL

    Just precious! Try crushing it with a spoon and then sucking it up in a dropper and feeding it to him. Keep us posted on his progress.
