Mid-Point Cafe

I live about 45 minutes from Adrian Texas, home of the famous mid-point cafe. There is only one mid-point on Route 66,Adrian, Texas. Which is,of course, where the mid-point cafe sits.Exactly 1139 miles to L.A. and Chicago. Tons of tourist flock to this diner, which is a throw-back in time.I believe its been around for over 60 years but has changed owners a few times. While I was there today,I met a couple from Georgia and one from Minnesota! It is known for its delicious burgers and Ugly Crust Pies.

Today,I decided to make the drive and meet my daughter for lunch. She attends Adrian High School. She will graduate in a few weeks. To my delight.GMA,Good Morning America, showed up today while we were there. They were doing an interview with the owners and it will air this weekend. You never know, you just might catch a glimpse of me!!! LOL

How well I know… ( just helped them move) Was glad to get back to my mild Oregon temps :)) Hope they can move up here to God’s country soon!

  • jujubean replied

I moved from Central Tx to the Panhandle and its a world of difference in temp./humidity. When I go home to visit I almost can’t stand the heat anymore! I’ll bet Oregon is lovely.
