another 126 film composite from the scans of a little instamatic camera I have and this one is of a lavender carpet of jackaranda blossoms on the lawn of my big back yard with the host trees to the side of it. When I was little ….OK thats some time ago…. my siblings and I always called these trees ….plippitty plop trees… …for no reason that I can logically explain… ..anyway there are times in Sydney when all these trees blossom at once and its like there is a shimmering purple haze every were you look….. lovely…
hi shanghaiwu…. it used to be ..pretty in pink but I think jackarands in full bloom should be …pretty in purple….. glad you like my little low tec meanderings…..:)
Oh wow Juilee – this one is even better than the last and man is that saying something. Beautiful and the title is perfect!
Hey thanks Geoff…. I’ve got eight like this and the palmy balmy one that started the whole shebang off….it’s making me think about a toy camera exhibition actually….. there is a really cute little gallery in Thirroul in a converted Post Office that would be just the shot for it too…… don’t suppose any one else would be interested?
Great idea – go for it. Having just mortgaged the house to pay for my new Canon full frame I can’t really justify going off and shooting with a toy camera lol.
Great looking series Juilee, they would look good framed four sets to each frame
thanks Alistair…. yes I’m fooling about with ways to put them together now…. seperately or doubled or in fours …. not sure yet but big they will look really rich I think….. so glad you like them…..:)
I like this tryptich series of yours. I can’t decide whether they’d all need to be placed on separate walls of a room, as panoramas, or whether they could almost be stacked as three layered and parallel film strips. (I don’t have a wall I can hang such things on, so the question is academic – but I love your work!)
hi berndt2…. so glad you like these tryptichs…. I had a lot of fun fooling around with them to be honest…. and yes working out how to hang them in real life is going to be a bit tricky but I’ll work it out…. thanks for your imput on this….. I really appriciate it…..:)
