Well here I am in Ushuaia and its dawn and right over the road from my hotel is the splendidness of the harbour and the peachy pearly light of the very early morning is lighting up this lone polar cuiser berthed so patienly at the dock of the bay.
So begins my two ‘free’ days in Ushuaia waiting for my own polar cruiser to come in to the dock and take me aboard. All my dreams, fears and fantasties of being in a landscape of light and ice are bearing down on me and illuminating my expectations with colours not often experienced in waking life. The pristine glory of this dawn light then is an omen for my journey filled as it is with such expectation and hope for inexpressable things.
Digitally captured on my Olympus E-300 and with minimal post production.
