one of the wonderful things about Newtown ( a very cool inner city suburb of Sydney ) is the way the walls and streets are used by the locals… and the council doesn’t seem to mind so there is some awesome graffitti to be found there… but street art is not just about spray cans…. this anonymous artist has found a clean(ish) wall and pasted up a few of their extra watercolours which as made the wall into a street gallery…. and I just love the whole concept of that…. taking art to the streets in whatever medium…. very egalitarian

I love this ! Makes you wonder why more people don’t do it….. ’ fly posting art’ . I must try to encourage similar activity in my ’hood !

  • hi Philmore and ta… and yes indeed you should definelty get this going on a few walls around you… strike a blow for getting art for the people out there on the street… art for art’s sake and not for the profits of the Satchi gallery and all that…. and it’s kind of cheery to see people’s unasumming little artworks on walls and fences around the place…. it’s kind of like a gift….. so glad you like this funny little photo….:)
