A bucket of roses sitting in a florist’s window shot in full sun with IR film. This is basically what has come off the negative with a little increase in saturation to define the shape of the flowers. Very ghostly but still compelling somehow.

Sorry Juilee, but on my screen this just doesn’t work for me. The whites are too blown out and lack any detail.

oh dear margo. We all need to calibrate our screens so we can all see the same thing. Actually its the blown out quality of the image that I like. This is a straight image no fiddleing with it in photoshop apart from a bit of saturation. Its one of the quirky things about IR film that it causes some types of vegetation to just glow with pure light. I can’t put anymore detail in the whites coz there isn’t any on the negatives. Over saturation in photoshop causes it to just kind of grey out all over and takes all the drama away from it. Think of it as a bit of whimsy. A bunch of flowers for ghosts and fairys etc. :)
