Buzz Aldrin not on the Moon
it’s nearly the anniversary of the first time a man walked on the Moon. I can remember the excitement this generated and being given a half day of school so we could rush home and watch it being beamed right into our homes…. in B/W mind but oh well that was all there was back in the day. A couple of other bubblers being Cathie T and Danny have posted tribute tee’s here in anticipation of the big day next Tuesday I think it is so I thought I’d have a go as well….

woo hoo… yes indeedy it’s all your fault…. and you know how it is… have an idle moment will make a new tshirt…. :) must be a generational thing…. all the excitement of the first moonwalk and it seriously was not Michael Jackson….now he could have been a hoax thought up by hollywood…. :)

I can’t believe that-I mean look at the things they have been truthful about-weapons of mass distruction, Lee Harvey Oswald, Watergate, George Bush’s intellect…..........

I actually believe it happened… I’ve never doubted it to be honest… and if ever I did doubt it… I saw an exhibition of the photo’s taken on this expedition a few years ago and that was so amazing… not fakeable photo’s I would say and I really scrutinized them…. and you know when I … and millions of others first saw an image of the beautiful blue planet we inhabit taken from space… wow I was speachless with amazement… it was a pivotal image in the visual history of the planet…. so to be honest… I’m just bored and pissing about until it’s wineoclock….. :)

thanks CLiPiCs….. yes there were six missions in all I think … if it was a fake they would only do it the once…. and yes time indeed… it just vaporises around me…. :)

of course they went to the moon! why wouldnt you go if someone offered a place in a tin can and no guaranteed return ticket!!! tee hee!!!!! I remember watching this in a shop window somewhere in Melbourne…. xxx omg i am getting so old!!! x

it was an event that just lit up the world back then… unforgettable…. and now they are talking about doing it all again in about ten years time… we don’t seem to be moving fast on getting bases up there on the moon…. it would be such a mad place to go for a holiday…. wow I’d be up for that…...:)

My father’s cousin’s grandfather’s neighbour rented a tobacco drying shed to NASA in 1969 but they wouldn’t tell him what they wanted it for. They gave him a new pick up and $2000 so he didn’t care. Hey – it was a lot of money in those days.
He’s still sweeping sand out of the corners though.

your naughty…. a father’’s cousin’s grandfather’s neighbour hey…. that is just so spectacularly precise….. but hey I guess we will never really know one way or the other… so many people just don’t belive it and never will… and so many people just completely accept it… there doesn’t seem to be any inbetween postition….. which is ok too…. great conversation starter for one thing…..:)
