Ok Ok I know I said yesterday’s upload was the last of the big/little daniland IR landscapes….. but …... but I’ve had some interesting feedback on this series so I thought I’d put up another one…. maybe even two. The amazingly beautiful and talented Ange who is a very high level photoshop lecturer commented on a particular digital/analouge montage that I had posted ages and ages ago called starry valley five and in responding to her I realized that the source photo for that image was in fact one of the daniland images. So I thought I’d post the original image along side the digital montage so you all could see the difference in the two pictures.

At the time of making the starry valley series I was convinced that the original negatives for the daniland series were too degraded to make convicing photographic works but my post production skills have improved somewhat and to be honest I’ve been pretty pleased with the response from so many people to them. So just for the hell of it here’s the original daniland shot taken in very low light at the end of a magnificent day in the Hunter Valley and you guys can compare it to the digital montage and decide for yourselves which you prefer.
