Severed Heads at Art Unit......1983
I haven’t posted any pictures for a week or so as I’ve been building a website…. more on that later…. and setting up a new business…. more on that later and all….. but just of late I seem to have flushed a few die hard Severed Heads fans out of the under growth….. Tom is and was a difficult and totally brilliant eccentric musican and for a time there way back when… we worked together… at a place called Art Unit in Alexandria in Sydney….so the next couple of photo’s are for those people out there who remember what it was like….. and I’ll give you a clue…. it wasn’t very cute…...

hi ya jemima….yes it’s all at the programmers….. it’s modest but I think it will work out just fine…. quietly quite excited with it and very very happy about the new moneymaking thingy….could be quite cool….. and as I’ve deciced that I never ever whan to have another job in my life…. lets hope it works out…..:)

There’s something about this image I really like – the attitudes, the possibility of the unkown future. Photos from ‘the past’ often have this effect on me -but this one more so. Very cool!

hi ya berndt2… this was a time and a half… these guys just have not mellowed…. gotten a little fatter but still full of cast iron rusted on attitude…. glad this works for you…. there is no nostalgia in these shots of the past from my perspective…it was a much harder tougher time than now….. and it kind of shows through in some of these shots…. kind of cuts through the soft cutesy spoilded times we live in now…. and thanks … I’m glad you like this…...

honey don’t tell anyone but I was brewing the culture and passing it out for free.. these guys were sitting at my kitchen table … they couldn’t get enough of it….

hey there Spikerama…. and thanks heaps …. and you had that tee….!!! I am impressed…. mind you there were like thousands of them printed…. it was like the logo of Art Unit….. my goodness the mind boggles…. and folks wonder why I get cranky with all the cute little monsters that pass for cool tee designs here…. cute and me….. well it’s not an entirely digestable combo…...
and enough with the show my age bizo sunshine…. if you are old enough to remember having one of my tee’s from way back then…... umm…. we’d probably get on famously….... :)
there will be a few more shots from this time and then I’ll be away for a while and then there will be more shots from this time…. I’m kind enjoying dragging out all this old stuff….. and it’s still got it’s own authentic power and that’s wonderful to realize…... so glad your enjoying these…... cheers

Oh, and: Culture-brewers rock. They’re the best people to hang out with. Even if they’re not brewing the culture as much anymore. In fact, that’s the best time to hang out with them; they teach you the tricks of the trade then. ;) :)

and oi enough of the not brewing the culture as much any more…. I keep my finger in a few vats of bubble bubble toil and trouble ….. and I may be getting a bit deaf and going a bit blind but inside…... it’s still all….c’mon bring it on bring it on…..:)
