happy birthday fat grrl #3

the last in this small series of black and white analouge images from a long time ago… the three images together formed the basis of a large five part exhibition a l had way back then…. the series was later bought by the Art Gallery of SA and exhitited along side works by Anslem Keifer….. this image also appears elsewhere in my portfolio as a handcoloured image….

    She was soooo gorgeous.
This is such a great shot. I love that her face is hidden. :) Dunno why. But I do.

  • Juilee Pryor replied

hi ya Jayca…yes a really moody shot…. also remarkably shithouse technically… infact the neg is so damaged that I just decided to leave it all crappy and post it as is…. it still has some impact though…. and yes she really truely was gorgeous and talented and all that… and after all this time… I miss her so much….

    To Juilee Pryor.

... art is never completed … only abandoned – and it is this abandonment that gives the art … life.
Becoming its own entity – existing independently outside the creator’s space and time … all damages … blemishes … on the work add to its self realisation of its own tactile aesthetic character.

Thank you so much for this vision.
