well enough of the pretty pretty pictures for a while and back to pure power of black and white…. I’m going to be uploading some old analouge b/w’s over the next couple of weeks leading up to a possibly interesting outing re me on an ABC arts programme that is going to be broadcast soonish….. I love black and white…. strip away the distraction of colour and what’s left is form and story…... this image called ‘repression’ is the first in a small series of works called…..”is there anybody there?”......taken a very long time ago in a distant galaxy that I once inhabited…..

thanks darlin…. and yes I do believe I may do just that…. got lots of them and hey black and white…. no distractions so it’s all about the image…. and mood….. it might be sunny outside but it’s not always sunny inside….

and yes US spelling…. hmmmm ….. interesting concept but that fear of the ‘u’ in words like colour…. and stuff like that…. I’ll stick to UK spelling for the time being….. and thanks ….. more coming…..:)

hey thanks Jayca…. I’m more in to dark and powerful imagery and IR stuff for my more meaningful art peices but I just got carried away with the sheer pretty prettiness of my local landscape and lost the plot for a while…. anyway it’s going to be all blackandwhite for a while to come…. putting the sunsrises and stuff away for a while….

hi Sticky …. don’t say anything but it’s the second series of the Arts Life…. coming soon…. I haven’t seen a preview yet….it’s in the mail to me … so I can’t really say much about it yet…. I do know that I’m getting two credits on the series….woo hoo…. but thats all I know…...:)

thanks heaps berndt2…. it’s the incoguity of the normal back yard setting that adds to it….and really bad things tend to happen in really ordinary settings as well…. so glad you like these old dark angst ridden shots from way way back….. thanks…...:)

Really like this one. Your black & white stuff always seems particularly powerful to me. Hope I get to see the ABC programme somehow ( I am in UK ). Might have to get my sister in Oz to record & send to me.

hi Philmore and thanks heaps…. I do really relate to black and white …. we see in colour so black and white is more different and can be heaps more powerful…. I’m going to be posting more of the punk eightes stuff in the next week or so …. so keep an eye out… I think that genre may appeal to you…..also the ABC stuff will be available via vodcast….so you should be able to download it from the site…I’ll most likely do a journal nearer to the broadcast date…. mind it’s a three part series ….anyway….thanks heaps….. :)

hi dimarie…. I should get a preview tape tomorrow and if it’s ok I’ll put a journal up… it’s a three part series on the ABC starts march 17 10pm tuesdays and then gets repeated….. I’m excited…..:)
