a longer shot of this punk goddess in the middle of an installation/exhibition by the artist Michael Hill at a place called Art Unit in Alexandria….. this was taken in the summer of 1983.
Have you ever wondered how hard it must be to be a punk in the searing Sydney summer heat….. the resources needed to keep the ‘do’ looking swell….. just a thought….

this is an interesting play within the pic,did u photoshop the overlayed bit in at a much later date? or just really clever production and processing at the time??

this is a straight shot all in camera no real post production… bit of dust removal and whatnot…. nothing special …. it’s 25 year old slide film that’s been sitting in a box somewhere or other all this time that I’ve been scanning….. and there are others….. I can’t believe how well it’s held up….happy though…..:)

it’s been doing my head in actually… really …. I’ve been scanning and working on lots of old images for an upcoming TV thing happening and this was in with that stuff but not really about what the other thing is about… so I thought I’d share it here instead ….....if that makes sense…...:)

i think they used lard back then.. it held up well.. even in the heat… it was keeping the dogs at bay that was the problem…..... glad you are sharing your memories with us….....b

hey you… yes they used all sorts of stuff…. soap glue allsorts of stuff…. no joke…. pretty special to look back on though…. glad you like this…. I’ve a couple more and it’s about her… 25 years this month… a few days or so…. so there you have it….. :)

i think i know how you feel…. it was about that time i quit counting the loss of friends to aids… around 40 or so… crazy times…......b
