found a whole untouched box of slides today….. amazing and the first one out was the missing companion image to and at the end of the day .... makes a change from the deep brooding IR landscapes I’ve been putting up …... I’m pretty sure most people will figure out were this was taken and the old boat and the new boat framing this wonderful building are an interesting juxtaposition that speak about where we Australians have come from and were we are now…..... enjoy

I’m slowly working my way through boxes and boxes of analouge stuff from years and years of obsessively collecting photo’s and they are all mixed up and it sometimes seems a totally endless and thankless task ….. but I keep finding little gems from the past…. so glad you like it….. I love Sydney Harbour…. its so pretty….

Hey thanks roybarry…. so glad you like it….the perspective is most likely down to a faulty shutter but ahhh welll sometimes you just make do with what ever camera your using and hope for the best…..same deal with the sky…. you just have to put up with what comes you way and hope you are prepared for the good light should it just happen to grace you that particular day…...so glad you like it…...:)

the power of three hey….. the building has sails and the sailing boat has sails but the other boat does not have sails ….. but all the same there’s a few mega sailing craft like this to be found slumming there way around Syndey Harbour…... so glad you like it….and it has got you into the day….. sail through it sweet man….:)

i’m looking at it again.. you know i always do.. i see such a power play between the old and the new…. a stand off…........ thepointy insertive beak of the mega modern yacht…. the immensity of thepower in the traditional…...... and the opera house….. subtely briding the gap… attempting to make peace….......so cool….. i think i’ll leave the trunks at home… this calls for dancing nekid…............b

and the tension in the photo is so right for this country now…. we are still a monachy….. huge resistantce to becoming a republic…. still deferr to Britian and the US…...and haven’t entirely gotten over our convict beginnings….. and yet we are a filthy rich country with one of the highest standards of living on the planet….. tolerant and inclusive and funny and creative but still can’t give up our angst….oh and did I mention the weather and stuff like that as well…...:)

thanks Rhanna…. the colour is the colour…. no saturating or post production. ..... just one of the reasons I just love slide film….. so superior to digital colour…... anything E6 tends to be just drenched in magic colour wise…... but apart from that….. its luck to have the sky kick in while there are boats like this just floating by….. so glad you had a look…...:)
