Drawing of my children’s book character, Pattillo Armadillo.
Pencil artist Jude Cowell draws at a drafting table in the trees near Athens, Georgia and blogs on Political Astrology at Stars Over Washington.
This is beautiful Jude, makes me want to know more about the story ;) xoxoxox
Ohhhhhh I LOVE this and intrgued about the story too. Reminds me of a line in the early Floyd song Juliet Dream “will the scaley armidillo catch me where I’m hiding” :)))))) xxxx LOVELY
Absolutely fantastic Jude……what is he up to in your story??
very nice !!
Wow Everyone, Pattillo and I thank you!
His dummybook was viewed at Little, Brown in NY back in summer 2004 and i’m nutty for not self-publishing his story yet. Their editor said the tale’s moral wasn’t ‘overt enough’ to fit on the list they were then filling for publication but that it was well written and the art was good. Perhaps they tell everyone such things but i did get an actual letter from the editor instead of a form letter. Dumb of me not to follow up, huh? But family life ‘took over.’
The book is called ‘Pattillo Armadillo and the Dream of Green’ and perhaps i may get around to doing something with him at some point. Thanks a bunch for the encouragement, i really appreciate it! ;p
