Hello. My name is Justin T. Shockley and I am an Artist/Photojournalist/Writer in New York City. I’m quite grateful for falling into photography being a second generation photographer and have fallen in love with capturing life through the camera lens.
I do all types of photography in from commercial right down to artistic. My main focus is to encourage people to reexamine the world around them everyday and try to get them to see that there is most definitely a world beyond their world. Quite frankly I think this is the essence of photography and artistry.
It’s the artist telling the world to see something other than what they would usually see. To essentially re-look at the thing they just looked at and see something more.
I think this clearly points to the divine. This is how God works and this is what I try to convey in all my work.
