This is not a normal scene for our location. No, not the ice on the tree, the lack of ice on the water. We have totally skipped winter this year. More like an upstate NY extended fall and early spring. I’ve been watching this area, close to our home, for the stacks of ice, that I hear will pile up along the shore in ‘early spring’. Sometimes they pile up as big as houses I’m told. Being pushed in from the lake and thrown about by the howling winds. Not this season.
