Fishing the St. Lawrence River by Joseph T. Meirose IV

I have always found it odd – fishermen, who in a boat, try and get as close to shore as possible. Yet the shore fishermen throw their bait out as far as possible with a mighty heave-ho.

lol, thats pretty right isn’t it, the way we do that!! We are members of our little towns fishing club, and try to go out, boat or no boat, as often as we can! Sometimes with success, most times with none! :) :) Oh, and great picture by the way…love the B&W :) :)

  • lol, hey Kat. No intent to insult fisherpeople. I just can’t sit still long enough to fish. Thanks for the accolades too. ;)

because fisherpeople, such as myself, are under the delusion that the fish are not where we are :-) which is generally true lol. Cool work, Joe!

  • lol, I see. Thank you, Maureen. ;)

this is wonderful – there is a feeling of solitude with this image that I just love.

  • Thanks, I agree. In just a few weeks our population explodes. Solitude is gone till the snow flies again. Thanks again, cheers.

Beautiful image, Joe and very funny narrative. Fishermen are funny that way, you never know what they will do to catch a fish. Favorite or lucky lures, and every one always knows the best spot. Great capture!!
