Usually when shooting luxury real estate I’m photographing a multi-million dollar grand estate, as well as some beautiful property and amazing vista views that goes along with it. This time, however, there was no mansion or fantastic cabin, it was all pristine and untouched waterfront on the eastern shore of Owasco Lake.
It is said that the “indianist” composer Arthur Farwell camped along the eastern shore back in 1899, before assuming his teaching duties at Cornell University, and wrote a collection of piano pieces depicting his experience, entitled “Owasco Memories.” I googled it and that’s what I listened to while working on the set. It was inspiring to think we had the same view perhaps.
