Last weekend was a crazy one for me… the second-to-last outdoor party I was scheduled to play at out by Estacada got busted; you just gotta love America’s fear of small groups of people hanging out, playing music, and enjoying themselves. The rangers fined my friend $500 for not having a permit to assemble on public land and we all had to bail right after we’d finished setting-up the stages. Lame. I’d also just finished hacking-up a huge pile of firewood to keep the kiddies warm, so whoever goes to that spot next will have a good supply. I’ve got a blister on my hand from the hatchet, mosquito bites on my legs, and I bottomed-out my car on a pothole from hell… just in time for my bonus! Why does that always happen. The plastic under-carriage got torn-up, and broke-off from the front of my car. That was me laying on the dirt road under my car shoving plastic bits back inside so they wouldn’t drag on the road. Wonder how much the dealer will charge me for that.

Crazy party life aside, the Zupan’s next door is having a photo contest and the winner gets $35 to sink back into their store (ie. a gift certificate). The theme is “some sort of plant life”, so I decided to take a few pictures of my pyrcanthum plants on my patio. They’re really bizarre plants… spikey, evil fuckers… check ‘em out!
