Resurrection Bay
Resurrection Bay, Alaska.

Resurrection Bay is one of the greatest things about southcentral Alaska. It’s an amazing swath of water connecting and opening to the Pacific Ocean. The bay is littered with spectacular, rocky islands swarming with puffins, kittiwakes, and legions of other birds. Further, the Steller sea lion (also known as the “Northern sea lion”) calls these waters home. It’s a spectacular area. Spec.tac.u.lar.

It’s funny how this looks both peaceful and ominous at the same time. What a gorgeous place… I do hope to see some puffin, kittiwake, and sea lion photos from you soon. :)

I’ve seen them all, but had a hell of a time getting decent photographs. I’ve got some fun sea lion shots, but the puffin/kittiwake shots aren’t really suitable for prints. Sadly. And they are cute, those precious puffins!
thanks again ~~
